Daughters

Raw, bleeding
baring teeth and creation
you pushed me from your
womb.

I dream of baby dolls
plastic, still-born and
covered, lying in their bodily
tombs.

I hold them to me
willing a truthful cry to
escape into the frozen
din.

Peel, cut them all away
the falsities that bind
contain your compassion like
sin.

Raw, bleeding
baring teeth and creation
you pushed me from your
womb.

Haiku III

Golden ginkgo leaf
glowing soft beneath moon shine
joy; they fall as one.

In the forest

In the expanse of relief
breaths beneath blankets
we're happy and full
but you roll into me again
your hands tattooing circles
inside my intimancy
unprepared, rocking, rising
falling and laughing
and from somewhere deep,
inside the cavernous walls
of body and soul
you coax out a scream
soft and surprised at first,
pleading and pleased then
wild, lost in all ways.

you found me.

day and night

I need you by the night
       like shelter by the sea

falling through the day.

I love you in the morning
        like warmth in the sun

falling stars through the sky.
